Sir Robin Biggam began his career as a Chartered Accountant in Glasgow in 1960 before joining ICI in the early 1970's where he held various management positions. In early 1986 Sir Robin became Managing Director of BICC plc. In January 1987 he was appointed Chief Executive and in 1992 he became Chairman before retiring in 1996.Sir Robin has held numerous other senior positions in his career such as non-executive director of Lloyds Abbey Life Group and Redland plc. He was also President of the German- British Chamber of Industry and Commerce from 1995 to 1997.In 1997 Sir Robin was appointed chairman of the Independent Television Commission and he is chairman of Fairey Group and Electrium Limited and non-executive director of British Aerospace and British Energy plc.Sir Robin is a highly accomplished speaker with such a wealth of experience to draw on to deliver an excellent keynote speech.
