Robert Kilroy-Silk began his career as a lecturer in Politics at Liverpool University before being elected Labour Member of Parliament in 1974. In his 13 years as an MP he held several senior posts such as Shadow Home Office Minister and Chairman of the Parlimentary All-Party Civil Liberties Group.During his career Robert has been a political columnist in The Times and the Daily Express. He is also an author and broadcaster. He has presented KILROY, the BBC's top daily discussion programme since 1986, and other documentaries. He is also Chairman of The Kilroy Television Company producing his own show aswell as numerous current affairs documentaries.Robert is a very experienced speaker and conference chair who is in great demand with corporate clients.
