After Dinner Speakers: Philip Hayton, Jim Rogers, Dickie Bird

Philip started his media career in 1968 where he became a reporter and producer for BBC Radio Leeds. Moving on to become a reporter for BBC TV in 1971, he worked on Look North Leeds. He later became a National news reporter covering Beirut, Belfast the Iranian revolution, the Ugandan war and the Falklands War from Argentina. During the 1980’s Philip became a newscaster on the One, Six and Nine o’clock News. Other credits include: Newscaster for BBC World TV and Newscaster BBC News 24. Philip is a poignant after dinner speaker or platform speaker on political or news related issues. He is also a respected awards host.
