After Dinner Speakers: Niki Lauda, Jonathan Porritt, Tony Slattery

Niki Laudas career as a driver spanned 15 years of Formula One, and he remains one of its best-known stars, as much for his determination in returning from the horrific burns suffered at the German GP of 1976. The third of Niki Laudas World championships came by a narrow half point margin in 1981, after he returned from retirement. Finally hanging up his gloves in 1982 he became owner and Chief Executive of Lauda Air until its take-over by Austrian Airways in 2001. He has since returned to Formula One as Fords Premier Performance Division running the Jaguar Team. Niki Lauda has had a brave and exciting career in motor sport and the Airline Business and proves to be a scintillating speaker
