Michael Grade comes from a famous showbusiness dynasty boasting both Lord Grade and Lord Delfont as his uncles. He was Director of Programmes at LWT when he accepted an invitation to going to the USA as President of Embassy Television. When he returned to the UK he joined the BBC before becoming Chief Executive of Channel 4 where he achieved considerable commercial and critical success. He is a Director of The New Millennium Experience Company and has also recently become Chairman of the company which intends to redevelop the British Film Industry.
