After Dinner Speakers: Michael Barrymore, Hermann Hauser, Primal Scream

Michael Barrymore, one of Britain's best-loved entertainers, perhaps the best loved. Multi-talented, multi-award winner. For over 20 years he's been at the top of the show business ladder... Born in 1952 Michael Ciaran Parker cut his teeth as a Butlin's redcoat in Clacton, furthering his apprenticeship in the Beach resorts of Devon, Michael’s mentor Bille George suggested the change of name to Barrymore. First appearing on television in New Faces, Michael quickly became a very popular cabaret entertainer and in March 1976 made his professional television debut. He quickly followed with roles on Russ Abbotts Madhouse and then in 1983 The Michael Barrymore Show finally put Michael's name at the very top of the bill where he has remained for twenty years.
