After Dinner Speakers: Margherita Taylor, Mike Watson, Diane Youdale
Margherita was born on April 26th 1972. She has a degree in Media and Communication from the University Of Central England where she majored in video production. She was introduced into the world of broadcasting when she won a 'Search For A Star' competition organised by 96.4FM BRMB in Birmingham - so impressed were the producers of BRMB that within a week Margherita was presenting her own show for the station. Margherita then joined Capital and can be heard hosting London's Capital Radio Saturday afternoon chart show (4pm -7pm) and Sunday evening slot (8.30pm-12midnight). She has been on our screens fronting Carlton's weekly pop show Videotech. Last year Margherita co-hosted ITV's junior version of the Gladiators, Train To Win which returned with a second series in the New Year of '98. She was also one of the hosts of a series of late night shows on London Weekend Television called Live From The Capital Cafe which was a mix of music and entertainment. She has presented a number of films for BBC2's The Ozone and has hosted her own television show Heartland for Central Television which was a mixture of celebrity interviews and music. These radio and television opportunities have seen Margherita interview a huge selection of celebrities such as Whitney Houston, Mel Gibson and Claudia Schiffer.
