After Dinner Speakers: Kirsty Young, Jancis Robinson, Phillip Schofield

Before finding national fame with ITN's Channel Five News and ITV News, Kirsty Young could be found on the anchor set of STV's Scotland Today in the 1980s. Kirsty Young started her career on BBC Radio Scotland and STV's continuity desk before moving to news presentation. While at Scottish, Kirsty became a bit of a local star, and was even given her own local chatshow Kirsty, in the early 1990s. Kirsty was a reporter for BBC TV's Film 96 and Holiday 95 and presenter of Holidays Out in 1995. She also fronted ITV's The Time, The Place in 1996. Moved to Channel 5 on its launch in March 1997 to read news more informally, perched on the front of the news desk. ITN Newscaster for ITV between January 2000 and September 2001, and re-joined Channel 5 News in 2002.
