Born Julia Elizabeth Wells Walton-on-Thames, England, on October 1st 1935. Julie Andrews has been entertaining since childhood. Getting her first professional role in 1954 in the cast of The Boyfriend, she has worked continuosly since in film, television and Theatre. Her most noteable roles include Eliza Doolittle in the production of My Fair Lady, the title role in Mary Poppins and as Maria in the all time favourite The Sound of Music. Julie Andrews has also written the sucessful children's books Mandy, The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles and Little Bo. Julie has been named on Britain's Honours List and has been made a Dame, she remains an iconic personality.
