After Dinner Speakers: Judith Hann, Barenaked Ladies, Sarah Duchess of York
Judith is one of Britain's leading science journalists. She joined BBC Television's most popular science programme - Tomorrow's World - as a reporter and became its senior presenter soon after. In 1994 she left the programme to devote more time to her farm-cum-nature reserve in Gloucestershire and her media training centre in Gloucestershire. In early 1995 the BBC asked her to return to present Watchdog Healthcheck, a peak-time series on BBC1 on consumer health matters. It was so successful that it was commissioned to run for several more series. Judith has also appeared frequently on programmes about business and had her own series on health, food, medicine and lifestyle. She has written eight books on science, child care, cooking and healthy lifestyle. Her book, How Science Works, has become an international best-seller, having been translated into over twenty languages and selling over one million copies worldwide. She is in great demand for company in-house videos and regularly chairs conferences for large companies like British Airways, Cadburys and IBM, as well as government departments. A highly experienced and popular after dinner speaker and chairperson, Judith also delivers keynote and conference presentations and is in particular demand for her views on information technology, health care, futurology, change, telecommunications, small business, conservation, the environment and ecology matters, and new technologies.
