After Dinner Speakers: Judith Chalmers, Kate Thornton, Tom Bloxham

A veteran television presenter and announcer, Judith Chalmers began her career with the BBC in 1960. Holding many presenter jobs for the BBC including Come Dancing from 1961 she is most famously known for her travel films and presentation of ITV’s holiday programme Wish you Were Here. A regular contributor to Radio 2 and reporter and correspondent on many travel features, Judith Chalmers has a unique perspective on the surge in popularity of foreign travel and her role in promoting that growth. Resident and exponent of the delights of Cheshire, her compliments to England’s NorthWest are all the more credible because of her unsurpassed critical experience of world resorts.
