After Dinner Speakers: Josie Lawrence, David Frost, Pete Waterman
Josie was born in Old Hill, Dudley on 6th June 1959 as Wendy Lawrence, but later changed her name to Josie. After College Josie joined a small band of improvisers on stage at the Comedy Store on Wednesday nights in between bit parts on television, theatre and radio. Being paid in beer and a cut from the sales she co-founded The Comedy Store Players and found her way onto the pilot of Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Utterly hilarious, Josie even caused riotous laughter on ITV’s This morning when her caught fire. One of Britains cult heroines, Josie Lawrence offers an amusing perspective on the life and times of a female comedienne
