After Dinner Speakers: Jon Culshaw, Adrian Walsh, Edward Heath
Everybody is talking about the brilliant young impressionist Jon Culshaw! Following his remarkable previous successes ITV recently commissioned his own Special “Alter Ego” which received rave reviews throughout the press. A further Special of this unique format has been commissioned and will be recorded shortly.
Jon is also part of the team providing voices for the highly acclaimed comedy animation series “2DTV” which was recently shown on ITV1, and a second and third series will broadcast later this year.
Other recent television credits include “Parkinson”, “They Think its All Over” (BBC), “Never Mind the Buzzcocks” (BBC), “Night of A Thousand Faces” (BBC) “The Big Stage” (Channel 5), “Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression” (BBC) and “The Royal Variety Performance 2001” (ITV).
Jon first made international headlines by calling the switchboard of no. 10 Downing Street and fooling the operators with his ‘William Hague’ impression. Jon then found to his delight that he was talking directly to Prime Minster, Tony Blair, live on London’s Capital FM, from 10 Downing Street! The incident was even reported in Hansard! Jon also provided all the impressions for the wind up phone calls heard on Capital FM’s “Steve Penk Show”, some of which have been produced on CD.
Jon is delighted to be a star part of the much acclaimed radio 4 series, “Dead Ringers”. Recently, this programme won the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Radio Programme 2000 and the Sony Gold Radio Academy Award for Best Comedy Show 2001, and the British Comedy Award for Best Radio Comedy. Following on from the shows overwhelming success, Jon was equally thrilled to have recorded a television version of this popular show “Dead Ringers TV” for BBC 1.
Jon’s other recent radio credits include “It’s Been a Bad Week” and “Chris Moyles Drive”.
Jon’s previous acclaimed work includes “Spitting Image” where he provided the voices to over forty characters including Frank Bruno, David Frost, Kenneth Clark, Michael Portillo, Bill Clinton, Liam Gallagher and many more.
Jon Culshaw has a catalogue of an estimated 350 impressions and is rightly regarded as the best young impressionist in the U.K.
