After Dinner Speakers: Jimmy Hill, Mike Osman, Peter MacNicol

Jimmy Hill has been a football player, coach, manager, Director and finally chairman of a football league club. A player with Brentford Football Club in 1949 – 1952, he then played for Fulham Football Club from 1952 – 61. Between 1961-1966 he took Coventry City from the Third to the First Division (now the Premier league). In1968 he became head of sport at London weekend Television and rose to Deputy Controller of Programmes, before joining the BBC as presenter of Match of the Day. In 1995, Jimmy was awarded an OBE for his contributions to football, and has since published his autobiography, “The Jimmy hill Story”. Jimmy is a knowledgeable, much respected man ideal for after dinner speaking on football-related subjects.
