F W de Klerk was the former President of the Republic of South Africa and joint winner of the Nobel Peace Prize with Nelson Mandella. He directed the dismantling of Apartheid and lifted the ban on the African Nation Congress. In his address he discusses the principles of change management in the transition process; making partnerships work; and the challenge to cultural identity posed by globalisation.
