The Yale graduate was elected as president of Mexico in 1994.He became a campaigner against poverty in his country and in doing so completely changed Mexico's political system. Through creating increased exports and responsible control of taxation Ernesto Zedillo helped ensure that the Mexican economy remained stable.He also made great progress erasing the problem of political corruption.
