After Dinner Speakers: Eddie Jordan, Martha Lane-Fox, Andrew Neil

Eddie Jordan’s name is synonymous with bringing young drivers into Formula 1 racing. His team, founded in 1991, has brought colour and a sense of humour to Formula One. In only a decade in the business, the team has produced impressive results - three race wins, six front rows and eleven podiums in the last four years. Jordan began his career as a banker but a prolonged strike in Dublin prompted him to work in Jersey for the summer of 1970 and it was there that he first witnessed kart racing. He was instantly hooked and, having progressed through various motor sport categories and winning several races and championships, he drove in the European Formula Two Championship in 1979. In 1980 Jordan made his second career switch from driver to team owner and set up his own team. Eddie Jordan is an utterly captivating speaker.
