After Dinner Speakers: David Baddiel, Bjorn Again, Tommy Lee Jones
Writer and comedian David Baddiel first became famous as part of the ‘Mary Whitehouse Experience’ team consisting of himself, Rob Newman, Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis. The show began life as a late-night radio show on Radio One before being made into a cult comedy TV sketch show. David went on to team up with good friend, flatmate and fellow football fanatic Frank Skinner on TV’s ‘Fantasy Football League’, also releasing a football song ‘Three Lions’ with Skinner for Euro ‘96 which went to number one. Continuing the partnership with Skinner he toured with their improvisational stage show ‘Baddiel & Skinner Unplanned’ which also became a TV series. Baddiel has also written two novels, ‘Time For Bed’ and ‘Whatever Love Means’ and has just signed a deal with Sky TV to produce a 22 episode sit-com based on visits to his therapist.
