After Dinner Speakers: Daisy Donovan, Willy Carson, Miriam Stoppard
Daisy Donovan is best known as the hostess of Channel 4’s ‘The 11 O’clock Show’, which she co-presented with Iain Lee. Many would argue that Daisy was the best thing about this hit-and-miss show (which was also notable for launching the career of Ali G) – her trademark sarcasm and deadpan delivery earned her many fans, both male and female.
A graduate of Edinburgh University, Daisy is also an actress who has appeared as Brigitte in TV’s ‘My Family’ and played a reporter in the movie ‘Still Crazy’. She took to the boards in 2001 to star in the Chichester Festival Theatre's production of ‘On The Razzle’, Tom Stoppard's tale of love and romance on the streets of Vienna.
Although ranked number 100 (2000) and number 74 (2001) in FHM's 100 Sexiest Women poll, Daisy is no bimbo, possessing an ascerbic wit and sharp intelligence. A favourite as an awards host and often in demand for personal appearances, Daisy enjoys communicating with an audience and is a joy to work with.
