After Dinner Speakers: Clive Coleman, Larry King, Nigel Cassidy

As a barrister and one of the country's top comedy writers, Clive Coleman has the unique ability to write and deliver hilarious material on just about any subject. Clive as a comedy writer is perhaps best known for 'Chambers', his hit sitcom about very probably the least spectacular set of barristers' chambers currently practising in this country. It stars John Bird, James Fleet and Sarah Lancashire and first aired on BBC Radio 4 before transferring successfully to television on BBC1. Clive's other television credits include: 'Spitting Image', 'Smith and Jones' and 'Clive Anderson Talks Back'. In 1992, Clive won the prestigious BBC Light Entertainment Contract Writers Award (previous winners include Angus Deayton and Rory McGrath) and in 1998 he won the BBC's inaugural 'Frank Muir Award', for outstanding comedy writing. His current writing commissions include a sitcom for BBC television and a Screen Onbe BBC film comedy. Clive is also an excellent motivator. As a Principal Lecturer in law at the Inns Of Court School of Law, Clive has helped pioneer 'skills training' for barristers. He has lectured and written widely on advocacy, communication and the art of persuasion. This experience has enabled Clive to successfully apply a variety of interactive educational methods, including the training techniques of the courtroom, to meeting the demands of selling, motivation and persuasion in business. Clive is a wonderful speaker and performer who makes regular guest appearances on Radio 4's 'The Motion Show', 'Law in Action' and 'Loose Ends'. His unique wit and ability to produce original material means that corporate clients ask him to return over and over again to perform at their special events.
