After Dinner Speakers: Benedict Allen, Debbie Greenwood, John Moloney

Benedict Allen is one of today’s best known explorers, and has written seven books on his travels, as well as numerous unique television programmes and series. Broadcasts of his many adventures include the new series, The Medecine Man, which will be broadcast in October 2000, which looks at the mysterious ‘shaman’, while two other recent series for the BBC were The Bones of Colonel Fawcett, based on an explorer who went missing in the Matto Grosso region of Brazil, and the Edge of Blue Heaven where Benedict took a camera on an unbelievable 3,000 mile trek around Mongolia. Other explorations include Benedict becoming the first person to walk the full length of the Skeleton Coast of South Africa, and crossing North East Amazonia on foot. No stranger to the spotlight, he has fronted an episode of the Great Railway Journeys for the BBC and another amazing expedition, In search if the Wild Lake. Benedict makes a truly fascinating motivational platform speaker or after dinner speaker with immense knowledge of undiscovered worlds and a huge passion for making others aware of incredible cultures.
