Alison Mitchell is one of the UK’s best known personal finance journalists. The winner of the 1997 Harold Wincott Award for Financial Broadcaster of the Year and the 1996 Personal Finance broadcast Journalist of the Year, she is the presenter of the Money Box progamme on BBC Radio 4. Alison began her television career as the weekly advisor on BBC Breakfast Time for a phone-in on finance. She has now become a personal finance expert for ITN, Channel 4 News and GMTV as well as the Jimmy Young Programme on BBC Radio 2. Television aside, Alison also writes for the Evening Standard, and the New Penguin Guide to personal Finance, and the penguin Guide to Successful Retirement and Your Money – Straight and Simple. She makes a knowledgeable and very entertaining speaker on money matters, pensions and personal finance.
